Hello folks, my name is Riyan Benny Sukmara and you can call me Benny or "Bang Benn". I am Indonesian and was born in a small town located in the southern part of East Borneo Province named Tanah Grogot Town on December 2x, 199x. I am just a simple guy on earth, a father of two, a husband for a wonderful wife, a lecturer, a man who loves sports (basketball and moto racing), and a content creator wannabe. I try to give my best in everything I do and work (but Allah will decide the result). I always express my gratitude for Allah's blessings, which have given me, my family, and my whole life. I love to spend my days with my family, such as playing something with my two kids or creating something in my garage like woodworking or making something simple furniture by myself. In my spare time, I like creating educational content & and videos, watching movies, watching sports games, going out dining with my wife and my kids, and traveling with them.

Currently, I serve as a permanent lecturer (Asst. Prof) in the Department of Civil Engineering, Institut Teknologi Kalimantan, located in Balikpapan City, Indonesia. My expertise is related to water resources engineering & and management which includes flood management, climate change, and hydraulic structures. At the beginning of 2021, I initiated a small research group called WATERABILITY Lab (Water Management and Sustainability Laboratory) to run my research. Through this small lab, I also invite my colleagues and encourage my students to do research collaboration and write some scientific publications.

Out of my working time as a lecturer, I also initiated and developed a website for sharing knowledge and information related to civil engineering called TEKNIK SIPIL INDONESIA. This website provides learning material, ebooks, and training facilities.

As a millennial lecturer, I also love to do my hobbies such as traveling, hiking, playing basketball, and watching moto racing. I am also passionate about doing work in graphic design including business card design, banner design, logo design, t-shirts Etc.
